Photo safari in southern Africa  

Here is a selection of the pictures I took during my photo safari in southern Africa (South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe - August÷September 2001) [thanks to Francesco for the pictures where I'm the subject and for pictures number 21, 24, 35, 44 and 45]

Let me just say a couple of words about the Botswanian part of the journey.

As the bungalow were bloody expensive, my friend and I chose the tent formula:
I'm extra-satisfied with our choice.
Really living in the middle of nature. Camping in the savannah, far from the civilization!

With the elephants crossing our camp! And the hyenas that "looked us up" when we drank
South African red wine around the fire!
One night the hyenas came also to drink from the container we used to wash up in the morning,
nearby the tents. But I'm one of the two persons who didn't hear them: I slept  

It was a bit tough (every second day we cleared up the camp, moved to another area & mounted it again),
but it was a special vacation, I really suggest to you!
